Benfica and Sporting have now joined the plethora of clubs reportedly interested in signing Jack Wilshere on loan before the transfer window closes.
The two Portuguese clubs join the likes of Valencia, Juventus, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, Everton and Roma who are all, apparently, vying for the 24-year-old.
Crystal Palace appear to be leading the race but Roma, who yesterday (Tuesday) were linked with a two-season long loan spell for the England international, are also said to still be in the mix, if the Italian media is to be believed.
A loan move for the midfielder could be brilliant. He needs playing time and although he’s a fan favourite, at the rate he’s going, he won’t get anywhere. If he can play regular football, perhaps he can sort out his injury problems and come back to us stronger.
