After ‘losing out’ on Riyad Mahrez, Arsenal have reportedly turned our attention to Porto’s Yacine Brahimi, who we could also ‘miss out’ on to Everton.

Arsenal – along with Chelsea – were linked with the €30m winger earlier in the window but nothing ever came of it. Obviously.

Now, Liverpool and Everton have apparently joined the race to sign the 26-year-old, who reportedly wants to leave Porto.

Brahimi is yet to feature for the Portuguese club this season and last term found it difficult to get regular football.

Considering Arsenal were never really ‘in’ for Mahrez, at least not recently, it’s not likely that we’re going to be ‘in’ for another winger when we have far bigger issues at hand. Everton seem far more interested that us and have reportedly bid £40m (!!) for him since the rumour that Arsenal wanted him emerged on Monday. Although this seems way, way too high.

Perhaps Everton do want him and Arsenal were once again being used to boost a player’s price? It wouldn’t be the first time this window.

Oh well, I guess that’s us set to ‘miss out’ on another signing. Darn.
