There was no luck for the Arsenal Ladies as they managed to get the worse possible draw in the Conti Cup with Manchester City away.

The game will be played on the weekend of 3rd and 4th September and the other semi-final will see London Bees, who play in FA WSL2, face Birmingham City Ladies.

The final will be played at Man City Women’s own ground following a bidding process from by FA, which means Arsenal would face another trip there, should they manage to beat City away.

Manchester City women are unbeaten in the League and their only defeat in 2016 was a last minute goal in extra time in the FA Cup semi-final away to Chelsea Ladies. Basically, it will need a gigantic effort from the Ladies to overcome this obstacle.

Let’s hope Pedro Losa will have found his best 11 with the right balance between attack and defence. The previous City v Arsenal League game ended with a 2-0 defeat with an early red card for Jemma and two bad defensive errors on both goals.

Hopefully, we will see none of that rubbish in the semi-final.
