Arsenal have finally announced the signing of Kelechi Nwakali after the midfielder had posted pictures of himself all over the internet.

A transfer that has been all-but-completed since the new year, it has only finally, officially, made it over the line this week.

The player was voted Most Valuable at the most recent u17 World Cup in Chile and looks a real talent.

Nwakali is believed to have signed a five-year deal and it is notable that Arsenal have made a distinction in saying he has joined the Academy. They are not normally that specific, or in my mind they’re not at least. Probably didn’t want to start a mass fan panic.

It will certainly be interesting to watch him over the course of the next season as a loan is expected in his near future. The club said, “Kelechi, who joins us as a young professional, will look to gain experience with a loan move in the coming months.”
