Arsenal have confirmed that Wojciech Szczesny has joined Roma on loan for next season.

Breaking with tradition, they have not waited three weeks to inform us of a completed deal after the Pole jetted into Rome earlier today to complete his medical and finalise the deal.

Woj returns on loan with no option to buy. Roma will also pay Arsenal around €1m for the privilege as well as all of his wages.

The deal seems like it is not 100% complete as Arsenal say on their website, “Wojciech’s loan is subject to the completion of regulatory processes. We wish him well for the season ahead,” however that is unlikely to be much of an issue.
