Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil have made Opta’s best XI of the Euros.
Statistically, the two Arsenal midfielders were among the best of the entire tournament, which won’t come as a surprise to anyone who’s been watching them. Despite neither of their teams making the final, as individual players, they were key and really did Arsenal proud while away.
Ozil is likely to continue being amazing, since he always is. Although he ‘only’ assisted one for Germany, he was still crucial in other areas.
Rambo, meanwhile, assisted four and scored one – he had a spectacular tournament. Hopefully, he can carry this confidence with him into the new season and continue.
The 25-year-old’s found it difficult to maintain his form for club football, which has led many to speculate over his future in north London. This should shut up the doubters and put any second-thoughts anyone had to bed.
