According to reports, Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte is keen to bring Ajax sporting director, Marc Overmars, to the Blue side of London.

Overmars has impressed at Ajax during his three years there and is yet to sign a new contract with the Dutch club, claims Sport.

His ability to strengthen a squad on a minimal budget has attracted the attention of a few clubs but, reportedly, Conte wants to bring in him to help Chelsea.

It’s entirely likely that this could happen, although, other than this claim, there doesn’t appear to be much information about this supposed move.

The legend made 124 appearances during his three years at Arsenal and is known as one the greats. It would be difficult to see him helping our rivals, just as it will be horrible watching Mikel Arteta sit next to Pep Guardiola at Manchester City next season. However, you have to appreciate that it would be a great career move.
