Alvaro Morata is being reported to favour a move to Arsenal over rivals Chelsea.

The former Juventus forward, who recently signed back to Real Madrid for a reduced buy-back clause, is thought to be getting sold to either Arsenal or Chelsea before next season so that the La Liga club can make a profit. They have no use for the Spaniard, considering the strength of their squad, and they’re obviously trying to make a bit of money – can’t blame ’em.

Although Morata was originally thought to be on his way to Chelsea, considering they have the funds to pay what he (and Real Madrid) want, the English media is claiming that the 23-year-old would prefer a move to Arsenal.

Apparently, we’re willing to pay an eye-watering £65m to bring the Spain international to the Emirates but I’m highly sceptical we would pay anywhere near that amount. I get the feeling we’ve shifted our gaze away from Morata entirely, though, of course, I could be wrong.
