On Friday things got a little exciting when it was reported that Alexandre Lacazette had told Lyon he wanted to leave because Arsenal and PSG were interested in him.

The transfer saga to that point, which had been rumbling for a while, is summed up here, so what’s happened since this latest ‘revelation’?

What we know

Lacazette’s agent has refused to confirm or deny that his client has told Lyon he wants to leave. “We cannot comment on the information that can appear in the press,” David Venditelli said in an email to the Guardian.

“We have decided with the player not to say anything at this time.”

I don’t know about you, but if this was the agent of an Arsenal player who was linked with leaving, I’d be very concerned.

What we don’t know

If Arsenal have had a bid accepted

If Arsenal have made a bid

If Arsenal are thinking about making a bid

If the player would prefer Arsenal over PSG

So, basically, like nearly all rumours I’ve covered so far during this window, we know nothing.
