Juventus’ director general, Giuseppe Marotta, has confirmed that although the Serie A club did want Alexis Sanchez, Arsenal have made it clear that the Chilean is not for sale.
Speaking to Chilean outlet, El Mercurio, Marotta (not to be confused with Real Madrid star, Morata) explained that they rate Alexis but we’re not even entertaining offers.
“Sanchez is a great player, but Arsenal told us they have no intention of selling,” Marotta said.
“Arsenal said that the Chilean attacker is non-transferable and that he is not on the market.”

Although I highly doubt anyone genuinely thought we’d be willing to sell Alexis, let alone for the £25m (or £30m as some outlets are reporting) Juve originally offered, it’s good to hear that we’re point-blank dismissing any approaches.
We don’t need to the money but we need Alexis and us even listening to bids could be taken as a signal that we’re willing to sell. Juventus don’t have unlimited funds but some clubs do and if someone was to come in with an astronomical offer, Arsenal may be forced to listen.
Of course, it doesn’t look like this was ever going to happen.
