Arsenal have reportedly asked Inter Milan about Marcelo Brozović.

The midfielder, who’s worth a reported €30m, impressed for Croatia during Euro 2016 and has apparently caught Arsene Wenger’s eye.

The 23-year-old made 32 Serie A appearances last season, scoring four and assisting the same amount. He’s notoriously good at holding up the ball, passing and is also keen at defending, which would come in handy in the Premier League.

Liverpool are supposedly also interested but the initial report, which originated in Gazza Mercato only mentioned the Gunners.

The thing is, we’re not exactly in need of central midfielders. We just spent £25m on Granit Xhaka, so why would we spend a similar amount on another player in the same position? It doesn’t make sense, especially as we have other areas we need to strengthen first.

Also, there are numerous other clubs, including Atletico Madrid and Juventus reportedly interested.

To me, it looks like he’s aiming to move and his agent has put the word out to make him seem more desirable. I don’t see us being interested.
