Arsenal are going to make another attempt to sign Bolton’s Rob Holding this week with a new and improved offer according to the Sun.

The Gunners are apparently going to go back with a £2.5m bid as they try to land the 20-year-old central defender amid increasing interest from other clubs.

Having already rejected one bid from Arsenal according to reports, Bolton have also turned down a £2m offer from Bournemouth who are also keen on the youngster named ‘the next John Stones’ (I don’t even think John Stones is the next John Stones at this point).

The Sun offer very little information beyond what I’ve detailed above but this is a story that has tracked well and I’d be very confident that Arsenal’s interest in Holding is real.

Whether they can seal the deal still remains to be seen.
