Arsenal have reportedly bid for Borussia Dortmund’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the man whose name we still have to copy and paste, but he wants a move to Manchester United.
Despite what we initially thought, the attacking midfielder no longer appears to be on his way to north London. No-no. In fact, it’s likely that he’ll stay where he is to see out the final year of his contract… or he will go to United. Fantastic.
Gossip surrounding the highly rated assist merchant has been all over the place this week. First, his agent said he was leaving the Bundesliga team, then Dortmund said he’s not going anywhere and now it seems his agent, Mino Raiola, is trying to strike a deal with in order for his client to leave sooner rather than later.
“He wants to go to Manchester United and we are still trying to resolve the situation,” Raiola said.
“We are still talking to Dortmund. We are trying to be reasonable. They are aware that Micki wants to leave now.”
Despite this, Squawka claim that we’ve tabled a bid.
The midfielder is said to be around £20m, which would be an amazing deal, but it’s not looking all that likely now.
