Alvaro Morata has signed for Real Madrid, something we all pretty much knew was going to happen.

The La Liga giants had a buy-back clause of £25m after selling the forward to Juventus, which they’ve chosen to use. The general consensus was that Real were going to buy the 23-year-old back in order to sell him on at double the price.

Whether this is still the plan or not remains to be seen. However, considering we were interested in signing him, it’s still a blow. If he stays there, he obviously not Arsenal (top-notch observation) and if we want to buy him, he’ll cost £50m and I doubt Arsene Wenger would fork that out considering, as talented as he is, he’s still inconsistent and unproven in the Premier League.

I may be in the minority but I still think Jamie Vardy is coming to Arsenal. Too little effort has gone into looking into other options and Wenger’s recent comments have got me thinking that lead isn’t dead yet.
