Hector Bellerin has given Gooners the answer we’ve all been waiting for amidst all this Barcelona speculation and confirmed he’s staying in north London.
The right-back has recently shot to success for both club and country. For Arsenal, he’s become one of the first names on the team sheet over the last couple of seasons and just recently he was promoted to Spain’s senior squad after Real Madrid’s Dani Carvajal picked up an injury in the Champions League final.
Since, the Barcelona-born defender has been linked incessantly with a move back to the Catalans, with some reports even claiming they’ve been tapping him up.
The 21-year-old, however, has put an end to the speculation, claiming in an interview with Spanish publication Ecodiario that he is happy at Arsenal and doesn’t want to go anywhere else.
“I am very happy at Arsenal,” he said.
“I renewed last year and have many years left. I am very happy. In football you can always spend a lot, but I’m in the Arsenal, giving everything for the club. I do not think about going to anywhere else.”
The statement will come as welcome news to the Gunners, who are reportedly trying to tie him down to another contract, despite him only signing one not long ago.
