Hibernian manager, Neil Lennon, clearly wasn’t in his right mind when he claimed that he wasn’t impressed by Granit Xhaka on BBC Radio 5 Live.
The former Celtic and Bolton Wanderers boss even claimed that our new midfielder reminded him of Stoke’s Charlie Adam.
“I’ve not been that impressed,” he said.
“[Xhaka] is alright. He reminds me of Charlie Adam.”
The quote was originally tweeted out from BBC Radio 5 Live’s official Twitter account and was swiftly deleted but not before everyone had seen, print-screened and saved the tweet in order for Lennon’s, quite frankly, bizarre statement to remain in the Twitterverse forever.
How did Arsenal Twitter respond? Well you have to laugh haven’t you?
