Arsenal offered Nigerian u20 star, Samuel Chukwueze, £7k per week in a bid to lure him to the Emirates this summer.

A deal was supposed to have been agreed a few months ago but it seems his club are pondering other offers which has led to Arsenal getting frustrated according to AllNigeriaSoccer.com earlier in the week.

At this point, the deal is thought to have collapsed due to his club stalling which must surely be gutting for the youngster.

Now, in an exclusive on their site, they have revealed the details of the offer made to the Diamond Academy winger and the wages would be included as part of a five-year deal.

That would mean he would have earned £1.82m a year with a clause to be activated should he break into the first team in the same way as Alex Iwobi.

This news comes after it was announced that Arsenal are expecting to unveil Kelechi Nwakali who was with Chukwueze when they visited the Emirates and met Arsene Wenger at the start of the year.

AllNigeriaSoccer report that Chukwueze had already passed his medical and was expecting to join Arsenal.

It’s not clear at this point if the deal can be saved, but it’s not looking likely given reports coming out of Nigeria.

He’s 16.
