Arsene Wenger wants Arsenal to finish the season with a win at home to Aston Villa.

Considering Villa have only earned 17 points in 37 games this season, you’d think we were in with at least a fighting chance but our home form this season has been so anticlimactic that you wouldn’t put it past us to mess up.

After our 2-2 draw away to Manchester City, Wenger made it clear that we still have to finish the job next weekend.

“We have to finish the job now at home against Villa. We want to finish the season with a win at home,” the boss said.

“It’s in our hands now but we have seen again today that we just want to finish the job with the result. That shows you that we have to focus and keep the focus. It is important to maintain that.”

Also playing on the final day are Spurs v Newcastle (away) and City v Swansea (away). Our north London rivals are currently just two points ahead of us so if they fail to win or draw and we do, second spot is ours. On the other hand, if we lose and City are victorious against the Swans, who beat West Ham 4-1 on Saturday, they can nab third from right under our noses.
