Following our 2-2 draw against Manchester City on Sunday, Arsene Wenger pointed out how good our record against the top four has been this season. I know, I couldn’t believe it either.

Not only are we the only team to beat the Champions, Leicester City (!) away and at home, therefore earning all six points, we also got two off Spurs (boo) and four off City. That’s nine points from a possible 18, which actually isn’t too shabby.

“We gave the right response today on the pitch, but you have to say if you look we have the best results against the top-four teams,” Wenger said.

“That doesn’t come without character.”

Of course, this does start to raise questions of why we dropped so many points against the lower teams but hey-ho, that’s a problem for next season now.

Although we were decent against the Foxes, we lost twice against arguably the worst Chelsea side for a decade and couldn’t beat United at Old Trafford in the League for what feels like the 100th year. Therefore, it’s not exactly hard to see where our shortcomings lie.
