As you all know by now, Sunday afternoon saw Arsenal finish above Tottenham Hotspur for the 20th season in a row.

The Gunners went into the final day aware that they needed to win at home against Aston Villa while hoping Spurs lost at already relegated Newcastle United. They did. Of course they did.

Hilarity ensued across the internet and the Emirates Stadium erupted, celebrating each Newcastle goal in a 5-1 win and mocking their north London rivals with a series of chants.

They weren’t the only ones. On-loan goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny sang along and a number of players who don’t even play for Arsenal anymore took to Twitter for those sweet, sweet retweets.

Nicklas Bendtner doesn’t even have a club.

Kristoffer Olsson appeared just once for the Arsenal first team.

And Lukas Podolski went one further, referencing the final day of the season a few years back when half the Tottenham side had food poisoning.
