It looks as if Spanish national team manager, Vicente del Bosque, has put his faith in Hector Bellerin after the 21-year-old made his first appearance for the senior squad on Sunday.
The defender had to stand in on behalf of the injured Dani Carvajal and clearly impressed during the team’s 3-1 win over Bosnia. The boss said post-match that it looks as if he’s the player he’ll be bringing to the Euros.
Del Bosque: "Tenemos dos días para dar la lista de 23. En previsión de lo que nos digan los médicos, @HectorBellerin se queda". #Seflive

“We have two days to give the list of 23. In anticipation of what the doctors tell us, Hector Bellerin stays.”
It’s a sad time for Carvajal. Injuries are never easy but considering the Real Madrid man suffered his in the Champions League right before the Euros… it must be beyond tough. Although he will face further tests to see if he’s able to travel, it’s not looking good if even the manager doesn’t sound too optimistic.
On a lighter note, well done Bellerin. To get promoted to the senior team at the age of 21 is fantastic and he should be really proud.
