Arsenal have reportedly made a move for Juventus striker Alvaro Morata.

The Spaniard is still with the Serie A side but former club Real Madrid have an option to sign him back for around €30m this summer.

There are plenty of reports that they will do just that before looking to sell him on for a profit, with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea all interested.

Well, Corriere dello Sport (per Sport Witness) are reporting that Arsenal are finally going to go big for a striker this summer and Morata could be that man. According to them, the Gunners have already made an offer to Real Madrid, even though Morata is still a Juventus player.

Arsène Wenger and co. made an approach for Morata two years ago but were not willing to have a buy-back clause like Juventus were, so pulled out of a deal. Now a move really could happen but it would be an expensive one.

Morata scored 11 goals for Juventus this season and may not be the answer Arsenal fans believe he is, despite his ability to find the back of the net when Juve have badly needed him to. However, with Danny Welbeck out for nine months, the Gunners need to do something.

The reported €65m offer (£51m) is huge and may not even be true. What is true is that we’ll be seeing a lot of reports like this until Arsenal sign someone.
