Football Insider Editor, Wayne Veysey, claims that a ‘well placed’ source has confirmed that everything is in place for Wojciech Szczesny to stay at Roma next season.

The polish goalkeeper spent last season on loan at the Italian club, making 34 appearances and keeping eight clean sheets, despite suffering from an injury (broken finger) back in September.

The 26-year-old has been open about enjoying his time in Rome and about the fact that he wants to stay in order to continue learning. Arsenal are also keen to not pay his wages for another season and, therefore, the agreement that Woj will stay there for the time being seems to benefit everyone involved.

What’s more, is that Roma are currently looking to loan out new goalkeeper, Allison, to Fiorentina, despite only just signing him. Furthermore, pointing to the club keeping Woj for another year.

Unfortunately, this does look as if we have another year of David Ospina…
