Borussia Dortmund have reportedly had an £11.9m bid for Ousmane Dembele rejected offering hope to Arsenal who have been linked with the player for a while now.

That is, of course, if they’re interested in him at all and it’s not all just agent smoke and mirrors.

RMC in France reported that Dortmund met with Dembele’s club, Rennes, on Wednesday to discuss the player with a bid following for the 18-year-old, which was summarily rejected.

The list of clubs said to be interested in the player is lengthy.

Manchester United, West Ham, Liverpool and Arsenal have all been connected with the forward who has 12 goals and five assists in 24 games in Ligue 1 this season. Averaging just over 75 minutes per game, he has a direct-goal involvement rate of one every 105 minutes.

Dembele is under contract with the French side until 2018 and has a current market value of around £9m.
