Reiss Nelson scored England’s only goal in their 2-1 loss against Sweden in the under-17 Euros.
Although England haven’t gotten off to the best start, at least Arsenal’s 16-year-old winger, Nelson, netted a goal for his national team.
The goal came in the second half (62nd minute) when England were already on the back foot but at least they got a consolation goal.

England’s next match comes against France and the squad will be hoping for a slightly better result this time. Hopefully, Nelson can come through again, as this is a huge start for the forward, despite the poor result. It also marks the youngster’s ninth goal in eight appearances for the England u17s, which is an outstanding stat.
Nelson is a massive prospect, having only signed a professional contract with Arsenal last summer and is, therefore, one to watch during the u17 Euros.
Sweden’s two goals came from Sunderland’s Joel Asoro, who managed to net a brace.
