Arsenal star Mesut Özil capped a superb season with another assist on Sunday afternoon, but he’s still going to leave fans sweating on his future.
The playmaker’s current contract in north London runs for two more season and the club are eager to enter negotiations to avoid losing him.
However, little progress appears to be made and the German, in Dubai on Monday promoting an Arsenal soccer school for kids, has said his future won’t be discussed for another two months.

Arsenal have lost big players in the past, namely Robin van Persie and Samir Nasri, as they allowed their contracts to run down until there was just one season to go. Obviously, they are not going to be happy to allow that to happen with Özil.
A 19th Premier League assist of the season capped a superb campaign from the 27-year-old on Sunday, as Arsenal beat Aston Villa 4-0 and finished above local rivals Tottenham Hotspur once again.
There’s little doubt a player of Özil’s quality will want more than to finish second and Arsenal are reportedly prepared to offer him a £200k-a-week deal to keep him in north London.
It looks like fans will have to wait a little longer for good news, as Özil’s focus is now on Euro 2016 glory with Germany.
