Despite everyone thinking that Granit Xhaka would be getting the number 34 shirt that he wore in Germany, Arsenal have announced that he will take Aaron Ramsey’s 16 after the Welshman moved to 8.

It’s seems as if Arsenal have been playing with us a little recently.

After announcing that Ramsey would move to 8, they showed a video with Francis Coquelin wearing 27. This seemed to confirm the rumours that Xhaka would get 34, the shirt he wore at Gladbach.

But with 16 being freed up, he’s decided to take that instead. I’m sure he will let us know his reasoning in good time.

Petr Cech is rumoured to be moving from 33 to 1 as Wojciech Szczesny gets set for another season out on loan, but at this rate, it’s safe to say that none of the rumours out there are worth trusting as not a single one of them has been right up until this point.
