Despite Arsene Wenger denying interest in Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez roughly 101 times, the player has now come out and confirmed that he will indeed be staying with the Foxes next season.

The forward, who won PFA Player of the Year this season, has been plagued by rumours that he’ll be leaving the team he’s found so much success with during the summer. However, when questioned about it following the Foxes’ 3-1 win against Everton, the 25-year-old claimed he has no such plans.

“Yeah, yeah [I’m staying at Leicester],” he confirmed

“I am very happy and very proud to have this trophy. Some things are just amazing.”

Of course, this hasn’t stopped France Football claiming that we’re in talks with both Mahrez and N’Golo Kante over a transfer to north London.

While Mahrez and Wenger have both confirmed the forward won’t be coming to Arsenal next season, Konte is another kettle of fish. The boss was surprisingly coy over the potential move for the Leicester midfielder in his pre-Manchester City conference, so there could be some truth to this rumour at least.
