West Ham have actually managed to do us a favour and beat Manchester United; Arsenal are now guaranteed a top four finish – again.

The Red Devils needed a win in order to leapfrog Manchester City into fourth (65) and put pressure on Arsenal going into the final clash of the season. With United on 63 points and the Gunners on 68, a draw just wouldn’t be enough.

A 10th minute goal from Diafra Sakho put the Hammers 1-0 up early on and it could have been 2-0 due to a defensive blunder from Chris Smalling. However, the tides changed after the break and a well-worked goal from Anthony Martial put the visitors on level terms.

In the 72nd minute, the Frenchman put United 2-1 up, putting them ahead of the first time in the match.

It wasn’t over though and just minutes later Michail Antonio headed an equaliser into the net thanks to an assist from none other than Dimitri Payet. The match then became a free-for-all, with the Hammers quickly going 3-2 ahead thanks to Winston Reid.

The Hammers’ win means Arsenal now can’t statistically finish below fourth. Whey-hey.
