Arsenal and Southampton watch Tolisso

Arsenal are said to be watching Lyon’s midfielder, Corentin Tolisso along with Southampton and Napoli.

The 21-year-old central midfielder, who can also play at right-back and defensive midfielder sounds like a typical Wenger signing. He’s young, French, relatively unknown in the mainstream and can play a number of positions. Tick, tick, tick.

Under contract until 2020, Tolisso signed a new five-year deal just last summer, a year after making the step up from Lyon’s B side.

At this point, there’s not much else around about the interest of any of the trio of clubs mentioned beyond reports in France that they’ve been watching him.

He is currently worth around £5.63m after 33 Ligue 1 appearances this season that saw him grab five goals and six assists.
