Jack Wilshere has apparently stepped up his recovery from injury in the hopes that he can make his return to the treatment room Arsenal first team before the end of the season.
Jack played 65 minutes for the u21s as they beat Newcastle 3-1 on Friday and has, miraculously, not suffered any problems.
The Mirror are now reporting that the midfielder could well face Swansea on Thursday night with the youngsters and they even speculate that he could return to the first team for their postponed game on West Brom the following week.
Jack’s last competitive game was for England as they beat Slovenia 3-2 in June. If fit, he is expected to be selected by England for the Euros this summer.
About the competition, Jack told Arsenal.com “I have said before I want to go to the Euros and I know that I have to get back into the Arsenal team.
“I have to persuade the England manager and Arsene Wenger that I should play.”
Maybe England should pay his wages, too.
His last game for Arsenal was the FA Cup final on 30th May, 2015.
