According  to Reuters, Jack Wilshere is confident that he will be included in Roy Hodgson’s England squad for the Euro’s this summer despite only playing six minutes of competitive football this season.

Jack returned to action against Sunderland at the weekend after he finally recovered from having his leg Gabrieled in training.

One operation and a number of setbacks later, he’s back but his inclusion in any England squad, should it happen, would surely serve as nothing more than a kick in the teeth to the players who have featured all season and excelled for their clubs.

I understand that Hodgson appreciates Wilshere’s talent, but inclusion at a major tournament should surely be on merit alone and what is best for the team.

How can it be a good thing to include a man who hasn’t played all season, either with his club team or with the national team as they prepare for the competition?

Anyway, knowing Jack’s luck, he’s get injured getting on the plane.
