Jack Wilshere played another match for Arsenal’s u21s on Monday and scored his first goal since returning.
The midfielder has been out for the entire season after suffering set-back after set-back. Therefore, his rehabilitation has been gradual and he’s yet to be introduced back into the first team despite returning to full training.
Ft. 1-2. AFC miss out on title and have to settle for play offs. Wilshere good second half

Although the u21s lost 2-1 to West Brom, losing out on the title, Wilshere scored an equaliser and put in a valiant second half performance, which is what we want to hear.
It’s doubtful that Wilshere will get a start against Sunderland on Sunday, although he’s obviously progressing and therefore I wouldn’t be surprised to see him travel with the squad. If we’re a couple of goals up after that infamous 68th minute, we might see him introduced.

Wenger is clearly trying to gradually nurse him back to fitness without rushing him. However, despite being careful, everyone held their breaths at the end of the first half when Jack went down and hobbled off. Thankfully he was okay and came back to score.

Hobbles off pitch but should be fine to continue for the little that remains of the half.
