Earlier this week, Arsene Wenger picked out Chris Willock of one of six players who had the potential to follow Alex Iwobi into the first team.
After writing off an entire generation from the Academy these are certainly exciting times with the talent that is starting to come through what has been a long and arduous process to find players and mould them into superstars before they come with a mega price tag.
As Wenger once said, ‘we don’t buy superstars, we make them.’
Of course, that’s not entirely true any more but the emergence of a few youth products always does wonders for the spirit of fans, and in Chris Willock we may have another gem.
