Arsenal are currently ‘enjoying’ their worst season against fellow London teams since the 1960s.
The Gunners failed to hang onto their 1-0 lead against Crystal Palace at the Emirates on Sunday and the match ended 1-1. We’ve been terrible against London teams this season. In fact, we’ve only won one (Palace away, 2-1), which is the worst record since 1963/64.
1 – Arsenal have won just one London derby in league competition this season; their fewest since the 1963/64 campaign (1). Taxi.

It seems as if our local rivals are a huge stumbling block for us. We drew both legs against Spurs and lost both against Chelsea.
My only issue with the stat, other than it being embarrassing and showing how poor we’ve been, particularly at home this season, is that it doesn’t count our wins against Watford. Saying that, this would just be nit-picking and doesn’t negate the fact that we’ve been terrible.
Can we genuinely bounce back from this next season? If we don’t start winning at home against our local rivals, there’s not a lot of hope.
