Abou Diaby is once again injured; in other news, water is wet.
The Marseille man was due to play against Bordeaux on Sunday but has been ruled out indefinitely with a knee injury, claims Sport.fr. As we’re all well aware, this is just the latest in what appears to be a never-ending list of injuries keeping with midfielder from playing football consistently. He only made his return a couple of weeks ago against Rennes and now he’s out again.
It’s sad but it’s now at the stage where you have to wonder when he’ll say enough is enough and hang up his boots. Not only is his body broken, his mental state can’t be fantastic. Obviously, I’m guessing he has a great support system around him but the impact being told you can play again, only for your own body to betray you must be hard to take.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we see the Frenchman call it a day sometime soon.
