What a wonderful afternoon at the Emirates Stadium!

After the international break, it’s great to have the proper football back, especially after this result.

A great win and great overall performance from our boys that gives us a little bit of hope for title run-in.

It was *only* Watford, who don’t have much to play for in the league (they did in the Cup, sad face), but Arsenal dominated for 90 minutes, and actually scored goals at the Emirates.

David Ospina – 7

Dave saved what needed to be saved. He wasn’t as busy as in some matches, but was there when he had to be. He had a Neuer trip outside the area once and headed the ball away nicely.

Nacho Monreal – 7

Nacho was once again a reliable player in defence, but his crosses up front weren’t as good as we’d like them to be. He didn’t have to do much in defence overall.

Gabriel – 7.5

The Brazillian looked really good on Saturday, again without too much work to do like the rest of the defence, but some of his tackles and dribbles were really Brazillian and nice to watch.

Laurent Koscielny – 7

Same as the rest of defence, didn’t have much to do, cleared the ball when it was needed.

Hector Bellerin – 8

No work for him in defence but he was amazing up front again. Had a few run ins and crosses, and crowned his overall good performance with a (slightly deflected) goal.

Francis Coquelin – 7.5

Coq was so calm on the ball against Watford, without any reckless tackles, keeping the ball well, stopping their attacks and and even providing the attack with great balls (second goal came from his pass to Alexis).

Mohammed Elneny – 7

Only Arsenal player with a yellow card. Did well in the midfield and keeps proving himself to be a good signing. He had a few decent dribbles and passed the ball around well – only a few poor passes from him.

Mesut Özil – 7.5

Mesut didn’t get an assist on Saturday *gasp* but he was very much involved in the game with tons of short and insightful passes. He provided that stunning long pass for Joel who then assisted Theo for the 4th.

Alexis – 8

Is Alexis back? He scored and provided an assist, which is definitely a huge improvement on how he looked when he came back from the injury. He was everywhere, involved in every attack, trying hard to pass and also shoot.

Alex Iwobi – 8.5

My MOTM is Iwobi. A goal and an assist for our Academy graduate, and add the crossbar to that as well. He was a constant threat for opposition defence and could have easily scored more. It’s so good to have him in our team.

Danny Welbeck – 7

Danny’s movement was once again amazing. He didn’t get to score and didn’t have proper chance to but he did a lot for the team, creating space and joining in the attack.

Theo Walcott – 7

I was wondering ‘will he have 3 or 4 touches?’ when he came on but he had a lot more, and he managed to score a tap in. Good performance for him, but still far away from the first team.

Joel Campbell – 7

Joel assisted Theo for the 4th goal, and had got a few crosses in as well. Always nice to see him involved, could get even more minutes.

Olivier Giroud – 6

He was a tad short for one of Campbell’s crosses, didn’t do much else.
