Nacho Monreal shared a harmless training video on Twitter but the Mirror couldn’t help but use the opportunity to have a dig at Arsenal.
The defender shared a light-hearted video of him ‘beating’ Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in a simple training drill, which looks as if it’s an exercise in sharpening the players’ reflexes. It looks particularly helpful in winning the ball back from opposition players.
However, the Mirror, who I’m sure are all experts in training regimes, likened it to a kids’ party game. While I do see the funny side, the dig is a little unwarranted, considering I’m sure there are numerous Premier League teams who use this exercise.

From my point of view, I’m fascinated. It’s rare that we get a genuine insight into Arsenal’s training and, as someone who’s never played football, it’s interesting to see. It’s also comforting to see them having fun. Training doesn’t have to be arduous to be effective.
