Wojciech Szczesny is enjoying his loan spell at Roma and, on Monday afternoon, delivered a Man of the Match performance in his side’s 1-0 win over Napoli.

According to WhoScored, the Pole made four saves, claimed three crosses, made three clearances and had 57 touches.

The 25-year-old posted a picture afterwards on Instagram captioned, “what a win,” showing that he’s obviously proud of the achievement.

There’s been a lot of doubt cast over Woj’s future at Arsenal recently and winning MOTM for his loan team, a club which wants to buy him and take him on as their number one goalkeeper, might sway him either further away from north London. With Petr Cech claiming the number one spot for himself, you can understand why the younger keeper would want to remain in Italy where he’s guaranteed to get regular game time.

From a personal point of view, I reckon it’d be beneficial if he came back to Arsenal and learnt from the ex-Chelsea keeper but of course, it’s up to him.
