After beating Watford 4-0, Hector Bellerin is determined for Arsenal to keep pushing on to win the title.
Leicester are still eight points ahead of Arsenal at the top of the table after 31 games played but at least the gap is closing. Spurs are now just three points above us with their match against Liverpool on Saturday evening. However, this will leave us with a game in hand.
Speaking after our win over the Hornets, Bellerin urged his teammates to keep trying because, after all, if you don’t try you won’t get anything.
“Good to come back with a win after the international break. The team needed a good performance,” he said to BBC Sport post-match.
“Nice too for youngsters to get experience. If you don’t try you never score. We will never give up on the title chase until the end of the competition.”
The right-back scored his first goal of the season in the opening minutes of the second half and although it was deflected, a couple of months ago we wouldn’t be getting that kind of luck. A lot of it comes with confidence and making decisions that we weren’t making earlier in the season. Would Bellerin have even attempted that shot last month? Doubtful.
It’s not over until it’s over and with these three points in the bag, the League table is looking a little rosier.
