Arsenal fans watched on in disbelief as their side scored a deflected goal in the Premier League game against Watford on Saturday.
The Gunners are no strangers to a spectacularly hilarious deflected goal, but it is more often that they are on the receiving end of things rather than the ones benefiting from them.
At the Emirates, Hector Bellerin’s effort on goal took a massive deflection which looped it over the head of Heurelho Gomes in the Hornets’ goal.
The Spaniard’s first goal of the season came about through a massive slice of luck, and it was one that many Arsenal fans couldn’t believe as their reactions on Twitter show:
Massively deflected Bellerin goal. Life is a celebration.

Bellerin (via one heck of a deflection!). We actually got some luck! I want us to really go for four or five now, be ruthless for once!

Wow, first time a deflection helped us! 3-0, Bellerin!

A deflected goal. When did one of those go Arsenal's way last.

I'm struggling to remember the last time Arsenal scored a jammy deflected goal.
