Arsene Wenger believes our FA Cup replay against Hull is our most important match of the season so far, simply because it’s our next one.
The boss implied in his press conference on Monday that your next match is always your most important, which is a typical Wenger-ism but completely true.
“We are in a position where we always have to win the next game,” the boss said.
“It is always the most important game of our life because it is treated like that by everybody else. That’s the way we treat it. It’s the most important game of the season for us because it’s the next one.”
The team need to give everything against every team now. Even if that wasn’t true before, it is now. The final couple of months of the season are hugely important and if we want to win the FA Cup for a third year in a row, we need to go out at the KC Stadium all guns blazing.
We can’t afford another lacklustre, poorly structured display and after drawing 2-2 against Spurs on Saturday, hopefully we’ve developed a bit of self-belief.
Although we have plenty of fixtures to go, at the moment, Hull are our most important opponents.
