Arsene Wenger was not best pleased with his side’s 4-0 win over Hull on Tuesday night due to the number of injuries his side suffered.

Per Mertesacker was taken off with a head injury after he smacked his head on the back of Nick Powell’s noggin.

He had a cut above his eye and was substituted when it started to swell.

Gabriel just sat down in the second half, and no-one seemed to know what happened.

Aaron Ramsey was not on long and went off after Giroud scored Arsenal’s second. It was initially described as a shoulder injury by people who saw him touch his shoulder as he left the pitch. Arsene Wenger confirmed it was a thigh injury.

Speaking after the game, Wenger confirmed that Per’s injury was not serious (slight concussion). He also added that he did not think that Gab’s was either but did not clarify what it was.

Ramsey’s, however, was concerning for the boss, and that is concerning for us.

While he did not elaborate, Wenger did not seem too upbeat, and it appears as if Arsenal could well be without Ramsey for the next few weeks at least.
