Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud spoke after Arsenal’s 4-0 win over Hull in the FA Cup about how they want to be part of the first team to win the trophy three seasons in a row.
Finally a convincing Arsenal win we can all smile about.
After the match, the two goalscorers, who each scored braces, were happier with the achievement as a team, rather than personal gains. Both were also keen to voice their enthusiasm for the FA Cup.
“We want to win the third [FA Cup] in a row, it’s never been done,” said Giroud.
“We play football for that, for the fans, for my family to make them proud and obviously if we succeed it’s going to be a nice time.”
It’s good to see the players as hungry as we are to win this trophy for a third time in a row. The whole performance against Hull was great and we finally looked as if we were passionate about playing for Arsenal again.

We face Watford, again in the FA Cup, this weekend and although we’re at home, it won’t be easy. However, with this win fresh in the minds of our players, you have to fancy our chances.
“It’s always important to have the home support,” Walcott said.
“Obviously the fans will get behind us and show support because we want to keep hold of this competition. We want to be the first team that’s ever done this and it’s a massive thing for me personally, being English, but there’s a sense in that dressing room that we want to do it again this year. And from that performance, why not?”
