So, Saturday was matchday and not just any match, but the north London derby.

As such there was little else to focus on, but we had plenty of talking points both before and after the game.

Team news rolled in and we saw Mohamed Elneny and Kieran Gibbs awarded surprise starts. Nacho Monreal has a minor calf injury but nothing that sounds likely to keep him out for weeks, particularly as he made the bench.

The game itself was one of ups and downs. Francis Coquelin cost the team with a red card but has apologised. Arsène Wenger seemed particularly annoyed with the midfielder, especially as he had been warned at half-time not to get himself sent off.

On the other hand the boss was proud of our character and ability to stay in the match, as was Aaron Ramsey, who scored the opening goal.

Under the cosh before Arsenal went down to 10 men, it was a bit susprising to hear Spurs players Harry Kane and Toby Alderweireld claim the home side deserved to win, but never mind them.

Elsewhere, Leicester City won on Saturday evening to extend their lead over us to eight points.

Check back on the site tomorrow as we single out the best (and worst) performers and throw out some stats from the match. In the meantime, be sure to check out Anita’s Ray Parlour infographic!
