Poland and Ajax striker Arkadiusz Milik is being linked with a move to a whole host of European clubs and Arsenal are amongst those reportedly interested.

According to Futbol News in Poland, Milik is attracting attention from Barcelona and Liverpool as well as a number of Serie A and Bundesliga sides. As a young Polish striker there are, of course, links to Robert Lewandowski but Milik is much less complete than the Bayern Munich star.

Mainly a poacher, the 22-year-old has had an impressive season with Ajax. So far he has 16 goals in the Eredivisie, improving on his 11 (albeit from just 14 starts) last season.

Ajax will be reluctant to lose him but offers will come in, especially if the striker has a successful 2016 with Poland. In 22 caps for his country Milik has scored 10 goals and, having just turned 22, there’s a lot more to come from him.

Plenty of Arsenal fans are desperate for a star striker and don’t feel Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck manage to fit the bill between them. Players like Robert Lewandowski and Karim Benzema but would great but already play for huge clubs and are unattainable. As a result, Arsenal’s best bet is to look for someone a bit younger with huge potential.

After paying just £2m or so for the striker last summer, Ajax seem likely to make a very healthy profit if they do decide to cash in.
