Mark Clattenburg is set to referee Arsenal’s match against Everton on Saturday.
The man from Durham has been slightly more card happy in the second half of the season compared to the first and has awarded four reds since January. On the flip side, Clattenburg has awarded 115 yellow cards so far this season in all competitions. This shows that he’s happy to stop play if there’s an unfair challenge but is reluctant to make big calls.

Annoyingly, one of Clattenburg’s few big calls this season was against Arsenal when he sent off Per Mertesacker in Chelsea’s 1-0 victory at the Emirates in January. However, although it was frustrating, the call itself was correct and he’s probably one of the fairer referees out there.
The 41-year-old has refereed 34 Arsenal matches since he began in 2004. Of those, we’ve won 22, lost nine and drawn three. Hopefully, he won’t shy away from making any big decisions if needed.
