Umar Sadiq is a man on the move, but his agent claims Arsenal will be rivalled by Borussia Dortmund for his signature.

The 19-year-old striker is at AS Roma for the moment, but a move this summer seems increasingly likely as the Serie A club hope to make a nice profit on him which can go towards building a new stadium.

Speaking to John Solano of Romapress.us, we have written about the player and the likelihood of him being sold here. It seems clear Arsenal could get the Nigerian this summer if they want him. Or could they?

“Yes we have been approached by Arsenal, but they are not the only team that have signified interest in Sadiq as Borussia Dortmund are also pushing for him,” Sadiq’s agent Mohammed Lawal told owngoalnigeria.com.

“In the coming days or weeks we will know where he is heading to, but for now he is very happy and focused at Roma.”

Beyond Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, BVB don’t have many options up front. Adrian Ramos is ageing and rarely used, so it would make sense for the German club to look for a talented young striker who could play instead of their Gabonese star.

With money to spend a lot of pulling power, Arsenal will face stiff competition for Sadiq if Dortmund are indeed interested in him. Check this out to read more about Sadiq and find out exactly why Arsenal would want him.
