Joel Campbell started and completed Costa Rica’s World Cup qualifying game on Tuesday night, helping his country to a 3-0 win against Jamaica.
The Arsenal forward won his 60th international cap on a big night for Costa Rica, who stayed three points clear of Panama at the top of the qualifying group.
Though he didn’t directly contribute to a goal, Joel produced this spectacular touch and through ball with the score at 2-0 only to be let down by the finishing of a teammate. Almost Mesut Özil-esque!

Costa Rica did grab a third goal and Joel had an opportunity to make it four shortly before the end of the game, only to put his effort straight at the goalkeeper.
That 12th international goal will have to wait.

Joel is certain to be in the Costa Rica squad at the end of the season as they head into a special anniversary edition of the Copa América.
