Arsenal are set for a massive double injury boost with Petr Cech and Aaron Ramsey to step up their training during the international break ahead of a return at the start of April.
Cech has been out since he pulled a calf muscle against Barcelona in the first leg while Ramsey picked up yet another thigh problem.
David Ospina has performed well in Cech’s absence but you can’t help feel that he isn’t far from a massive mistake so the more experienced man should come straight back into the side as long as he doesn’t suffer a setback in training.
Ramsey, however, faces a more difficult task.
Mohamed Elneny has come into the side and things already look a lot more balanced.
The Welshman could find himself shunted back out on to the right and we all know he doesn’t much like it out there.
Of course, Alex Iwobi is in the middle of stating his case for a starting spot as well, so Ramsey’s latest thigh problem might have caused him more trouble than he initially imagined.
It’s hard to see Wenger keeping Ramsey out of the side regardless of all other factors.
Just who gives way will be the only question.
